Currently, frequent flyer programs offer a variety of benefits to the flying public. The objective is to maximize the numbers of paying passengers for the airlines, which are sponsoring these programs.
Virtually every large airline in the world has its own frequent flyer program. Some best known are from United Airlines, Delta Airlines and American Airlines. Travelers can redeem the points accrued in their membership account, for free tickets.
